OLIVIA RAPOSO

designer
MArch Candidate, BEDS, BID

Olivia was born in Calgary, Alberta surrounded by the beauty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. She later moved to Chestermere, a smaller community just outside of Calgary.

Olivia completed a Bachelor of Interior Design at Mount Royal University in Calgary. When she's not in school or working as a Lifeguard, Yoga Instructor or Preschool teacher, she's on a plane heading out to explore the world and look for Architectural inspirations. Deciding to further her interest in design, Olivia decided to enroll in the Bachelor of Environmental Studies/Master of Architecture program at Dalhousie University.

Olivia met Peter and he was her mentor in her first and second-year design studio classes. It was through her experience learning from Peter that she was inspired by his work and method of design. She did her first co-op in Peter’s studio. Olivia completed her Bachelor of Environmental Design with distinction in the spring of 2022.

In the fall of 2022, she was invited to do an exchange at the University of Lisbon for the second semester of her Masters. Five months in Portugal was truly a remarkable experience that led her to her vision for her Master's thesis and to receive the John D. Watson Memorial Scholarship to return to Portugal to conduct her preliminary thesis research in the summer of 2023. Olivia also received the William Nycum and Associates Limited Scholarship given to someone who strongly demonstrates creative thinking and a passion for architecture. It is this creative thinking and passion that she hopes to bring to PB Studio and to be a part of its innovative architectural design team.
